Another Family Event

So this last weekend was another large family event for us. Everyone was in town for my grandmother's 85th Birthday party. It was great to have everyone together. My Aunt Jill & Uncle Tom from California were here, including my cousin Brooke and her husband Mike. My sister flew in from Georgia too.

A couple days before the party we took my grandmother to the Lake of the Ozarks along with my Aunt, sister, cousin and her husband. It was a lot of fun. We went out on the boat, shot off fireworks, road the seadoos around and went tubing. It was great to get away for a few days. The weather was beautiful.

Now everyone has gone home and there is kind of this little let down time. I already miss my sister. I hate that she lives so far away. I wish that I could see her more. Hopefully I can figure out a time to go and see her again some time soon.

When did it become November???

Seriously....how in the world did it become November? I can not believe that it will be Thanksgiving next week. It is crazy.

Went to the Garth Brooks concert with my sister Monday. The best concert I have ever been to and I am not even a country music fan. I can't believe that he has been here for a week doing concerts. He is doing his last and 9th concert tonight. I am so glad that I was able to get tickets and go. It was fun for A and I to be able to go especially since she will be moving to Savannah in a couple of weeks since K will be starting medical school soon.

A & K bought a house in Pooler, right outside of Savannah. A really cute new house. I am really excited for her but I feel like I am losing my buddy having her move so far away. It is going to be really hard to get used to.

Craziest Mixed Breed

So, about six months ago I rescued this puppy. He is half Airedale and half French Mastiff. His name is Samson and he is the sweetest dog you will ever meet. No one was sure how big he would get because it is a mix that no one has ever seen before. Well, let's just say this picture is VERY old. I will have to post a new one in my next post. He is now eight months old and weighs about 80 pounds. He is so mellow though. I did however have a slight mishap a couple of weeks ago with this adorable dog. I believe he is also part billy goat, because he swallowed a sock. A whole sock. It then proceeded to sit in his stomach for approximately ten days. How do I know this you ask? Well, a couple of x-rays later and a $300 vet visit told me this. I will spare you all the details but let's just say that what goes down, can come back up.....with a little bit of help from the vet.

Another Shot At This...

Okay....so I have tried to blog before. Not just once, but several times. I have decided that I need to try it again and really give it a fair chance. I like reading other people's blogs, so why shouldn't I have my own blog.

It would probably be a great way for me to vent things and to tell others about stuff that goes on in my life. It is also a great way for me to ramble on about what I think about the stuff that is going on in the world.

For instance, did anyone see the news about that 6 year old kid that was hungry so he walked out of the house where his grandmother was supposed to be watching him? He took his car seat out of the back seat and put it in the drivers seat. He put the keys in the ignition and started to back the car out of the driveway. Luckily (or I guess luckily) he was stopped by a transformer before he was able to even get on his way to his destination. And what was his destination you ask.....Applebees. Now, tell me....doing all of that probably took him a little while, right. I mean, I know that when I put a car seat in my car for my god-daughter it is no small feat. So, my question is what was that grandmother doing?
